Model Iris Strubegger Plays Major Fashion Designers for Harper’s Bazaar

This photosession is turning to be an exellent advertising of fashion styling. Voice of make-up and trendy dresses overveight here ‘celebrities’ played by the model Iris Strubegger.
It is always incredibly fascinative: how fashion, make-up and clothes may tansform one’s style and change a wholly look. So you would not ever be sure: is it one person posing for all of the photographs ?
This boogie-woogie funky styling photosession by Karl Lagerfeld for Harper’s Bazaaz is a great example.
A master of transformations and charmingly unpredictable fashion photography, Karl Lagrfeld this time use all of possible arsenals to create incredibly different look of one person. But with huge respect towards styling, make-up and clothes, this session certainly would seem less drammatical if here won’t be all of this theatral poses that the model has presented.
The funky photosession is an exellent example of styling promotion. But it is about how self-presentation, mood, sentiments, posing surely influence and change personal look as well.

To contrust Karl’s imagies of Iris with other phtographs of the model, here follows the image of the ‘original’ style in which Iris Strubegger ordiary oppears and which supposed to be her ‘firm’ mark amoung fashion models (shooted and staged by Karl for Vogue as well):

Fashion has always repeated itself. ‘Brandnew, you’re retro’ brings styles from the fifties back to dress handbag shoes.

Can you love eccentric clothing and not be a gay? Yes you can. Fashion is for fun, and fun is starting fashion trends.

‘Fashion fades, only style remains the same’, Coco Chanel

Donatella Versace once underlined in her interview, ‘Fashion is all about happiness. It’s fun. It’s important. But it’s not medicine’.

In this weekly review you’ll find some of the most interesting notes on fashion that have ever been done.

1. British fashion is self confident and fearless. It refuses to bow to commerce, thus generating a constant flow of new ideas whilst drawing in British heritage.

(Alexander McQueen)

2. Fashion is a social agreement. the result of a consensus of a large group of people.

3. Fashion is in my blood. Growing up, I was always clacking around the house in my mother’s shoes.

(Sophia Bush)

4. And you know, the baby boomers are getting older, and those off the rack clothes are just not fitting right any longer, and so, tailor-made suits are coming back into fashion.

(Amy Irving)

5. Change of fashion is the tax levied by the industry of the poor on the vanity of the rich.

(Nicolas de Chamfort)

6. As a fashion designer, I was always aware that I was not an artist, because I was creating something that was made to be sold, marketed, used, and ultimately discarded.

(Tom Ford)

7. Fashion is a tool… to compete in life outside the home. People like you better, without knowing why, because people always react well to a person they like the looks of.

(Mary Quant)

8. Fashion is a form of ugliness so intolerable that we have to alter it every six months.

9. I literally have meetings at eight o’clock in the morning, and I finish at nine o’clock at night. It sounds pathetic, but I don’t even have time to go shopping.

The Importance of Being on Vacation… How to design your luggage?

The inportance of vacations: five funny tips to design your packaging.

The inportance of vacations: five sunny types to design your packaging deals.

To pack luggage is like a tornado in your room. Sometimes, it is even worse…

How to design you packaging easily and in time? Few secrets for a sucessfull packaging style are listed below.

1. It may worth it: to have a list of all things you wish to pack – so to design in mind your packaging beforehand. How much bags you wish to have with what things in each of them?

Sometimes, it may serve good it to have a short written list with things of great importance that you used to take with you. With this you would ever forget about or lose during the packaging a map, cellphone, pens, jevellery, your dog or your children.  You may keep this list till your next travelling.

2. Having a bunch of extra space in a suitcase allows the contents to shift and move around, potentially breaking, wrinkling, or leaking the contents inside.

3. Try not to hurry up too much. That has alway been linked quite clearly – as much you hurry as less you may catch in time. Selfconfidency is important. Packaging is not a tornado, anyway. It’s even worse.

4. Choosing Bags.

Style or fashionable of a bag is not ruling here. Any design or fashion bags must be controlled over thier usability firstly. It may worth it if to choose a suitcase that wieght less – to make it easier to wear a suitecase in hands if necessary. A bag (or a suitcase) should be easily full with your things – so no empty space inside it. In other case – things will moved throutgh the bag and may be even broken in it or so.

5. ‘Rolling’ can help save precious packing space. T-shirts can fit nicely into shoes using this method,’ says Amanda Hoffman, public relations manager for Expedia.

Ken Walker, who hosts a blog at AllBusiness.com. who usually travels for a week at a time, favors an aggressive rolling strategy: ‘Take all of the shirts you plan to pack, and hang them next to each other in your closet, largest or heaviest shirt on the left to the lightest shirt on the right. Then hang your trousers to the right of your shirts. Take all of the hangers together in one bundle and move them from the closet to the bed, taking care to lay them out so the biggest/heaviest shirt is now on the bottom and your pants are on top.’

6. If you feel a suitecase filled with things weighs too much – simply move all shoes into another one bag. So you’ll get ‘a weight management’.

7. When you lagguage is packed properly it may worth it to have a ‘final look’ on a cupboard, shelves – may you forgot any thing? It may be helpful as well whenever leavig your own home or a hotel room as well.

Color – is it a pattern for fashion design today ?

Colors: from white toward black…

Of course, I don’t want to say: fashion is nothing about but colors. But fashion is nothing without its respect towards colors.

White and beige for Celine, beige and soft magenta for Prada, black and white in Karl Lagerfeld’s fashion patterns, crazy orange and green by Versace, pink mixed with green by Tom Ford and exclusively expensive gold with red by Luis Vuitton & Marc Jakobs…

Entirely depended on colors, today's fashion establishes a kind of philosophy of color : what any particular colour is going to imply? Black - is it elegant or gloomy? Orange - is it 'young' and playful or overweight and vulgar? Red - is it sexy or oldfashion?

Fashion today establish a kind of philosophy of color: what any particular colour is going to imply?

Entirely depended on colors, today’s fashion establishes a kind of philosophy of color : what any particular colour is going to imply? Black – is it elegant or gloomy? Orange – is it ‘young’ and playful or overweight and vulgar? Red – is it sexy or oldfashion?

So… this column is going to be entirely devoited toward colors. The ten articles assigned exclusively for 10 major colors: pretty, youthful, oldfashion, funny, slimy, overexpencive and many others…

So, the question is: what every color is going to be all about? What kind of philosophy it produce? What it implies on clothes? How it may colorful our daily life?
